Flashbay, website video launched

Our creative team put together the storyboard and built a ninety-second web video using After Effects. The creative brief was to produce a simple clean style that reflected the company's brand and website. Real Coffee, Real Video

29 January 2009

Tilling Productions has recently won the contract to produce a series of global films highlighting the success of the Wild Bean Café franchise. This is a long-term production with filming at a number of global sites. English, Polish and Dutch versions are already complete, with shoots in Portugal and Spain scheduled for March.

All videos are being filmed and edited in local languages. The accuracy of our translations and careful timetabling ensured we overcame any issues with post-production in foreign languages. 'Our processes enabled the team here to concentrate on producing videos which have the same look and feel with exceptionally high production values across all versions - consistent with the Wild Bean Café brand, providing quality at a good price.' - Lee Mears, Senior Editor at Tilling Productions.

The videos will begin roll-out from early March.

Euro 5 Animation Challenge

20 January 2009

Castrol approached Tilling Productions with the challenge of illustrating to customers and fleet operators the 3 key technical systems used in heavy duty trucks to meet the demands of the new Euro 5 emissions legislation.

The task of producing an engaging video was a great opportunity for our in-house graphics department to show off their skills. Using a combination of Cinema 4D, Adobe AfterEffects and Adobe Photoshop, we created dynamic bespoke animations which Castrol are now using internally and externally across Europe to inform and train technicians and marketing staff alike about the implications of the legislation. Tilling Productions is in the process of producing multiple language versions, including German, Spanish and Portugese, to enhance the European reach of the video.

Tilling Productions filmed and produced an awards opening video and 13 animated award stings across a two week production window. With dynamic animated graphics, a cross section of interviewees and broadcast standard production values, the awards were a great success and will add to Tilling Productions increasing list of awards credits for the year.

Edit 5 goes HD

10 January 2009

Tilling Productions has upgraded its video production facilities to cope with any future requirement from broadcasters, corporate clients or freelance producers who require editing and delivery in HD.

Based around the Blackmagic Multibridge Pro, Edit 5 can now ingest directly from most HD formats or upscale from existing standard def material to a dedicated 16TB fibre channel storage area network (SAN).

Tilling Productions currently produces around twenty one-hour shows each year for Sky Sports and expects the broadcaster to start requesting HD material later this year.

In the meantime, contact Juliet Walker if you need HD editing at SD prices!

Clients benefit from Final Cut Server

5 January 2009

Today, video productions can be complicated involving literally hundreds of elements - original footage, graphics, web video and DVDs. Tracking and locating specific assets has become a time consuming problem.

As a result, we have installed and implemented Final Cut Server, Apple’s latest ground breaking media asset management and workflow automation software designed for the unique needs of film and video professionals.

The system allows everyone within our production facility to locate assets instantly, share work seamlessly, and automate routine tasks, leaving the production team to focus on the creative work.

In an ever increasingly competitive world of video production our clients are already seeing the benefits, with more efficient and streamlined workflows reducing both time and production costs.

Helios Awards

2 January 2009

After our success in 2007, Tillings was once again commissioned by BP as the preferred company for production for the 2008 Helios Awards, their yearly internal awards ceremony which recognises the efforts and contribution of their teams across the world.

Production involved a gruelling filming schedule in 16 locations around the world from Alaska and Taiwan to Shanghai, Europe and across America to create 21 films which will form the centre piece of the event. We are currently in post production and also looking forward to capturing the best of the night with our three camera coverage at the Global Event in early December.

Gymnastics in training

15 December 2008

In association with the British Gymnastics Association we are in production of an interactive training DVD aimed at developing and encouraging child gymnasts from an early age.

Filming took place at their main HQ at the National Sports Centre near Lilleshall and production is in its final stages. The recent gymnastic success at Beijing has seen an increase in the number of children taking part, and the BGA are looking to take full advantage of the increased interest, not only to encourage the increase of sport at an early age, but also with an eye out to find our next future champion!

Strength to Strength

10 December 2008

In recent months we have increased the size of our in house creative team increasing personnel in both the Edit and Production Departments. We have also added a sixth ‘Final Cut Pro’ suite to our already comprehensive in house facilities.

Despite the challenging economic situation the business continues to go from strength to strength in both the sport and corporate arena and we are expecting a busy 2009. The increase in business at such trying times highlights the fact that whilst the quality of our work is high, our prices are always competitive.

"I use Tillings because they offer all the services I need without sacrificing on quality. They organize crews in countries around the world. Their studios offer everything I need to make a film, but what makes them stand out is the quality of their editors. My background is as a television journalist for BBC News. These editors are nice guys who happen to be very professional at what they do. That makes it a lot easier when you are up against a deadline. Your deadline becomes their deadline, and they go out of their way to meet it."
